Annual JASNC Conference Reception

We will be hosting a reception at the Nature Exploration Center (NEC), NC Museum of Natural Sciences on the 2nd floor located at 11 West Jones Street, Raleigh, NC.  Admission for the reception is free.  

 

*Please stop by at 2nd floor of Nature Exploration Center to meet “Miss Kagawa, Ambassador of Friendship”.  Miss Kagawa is one of 58 Japanese friendship dolls sent as gifts to the American people by Japanese children in 1927.  Dr. Sidney Gulick, an American Missionary who had lived in Japan for over twenty years, began the program as a gesture of friendship and the promotion of peace and good will between the two nations.  Please click here for more information about “Miss Kagawa”.

Parking

There is an above-ground lot is located one block east of the Museum, with entrances on Jones and Edenton Streets.   It is easily accessible and no more than one block walking distance from the main museum entrance.  Parking rates at all Downtown State Government Complex parking facilities including this lot are $2/hour, however parking is free after 6:30pm and will be free for any guests who depart from the event on April 25th after 6:30pm
