The Japan America Society of North Carolina is pleased to announce registration for local homeschoolers for March 2026. Please complete the below registration form. All classes are free. Parent/Guardian must be present.
Materials will be provided. (Required fields will have an asterisk.) Maximum number of students per class is 20. Program intended for first graders and older.
Registration deadline is February 16, 2026.
All programs will be held at Five Points Center
located at 2000 Noble Road, Raleigh, NC.
1) Chigiri-e
You will learn a Japanese art form in which the primary technique uses coloured paper that is torn to create images, and may resemble a watercolor painting. The session will last 50 minutes. All materials are provided and you can take your creation home.
(Wednesday, 3/4 @ 10 am - 10:50 am)
2) Origami
This Japanese art form takes a simple piece of paper and turns it into a piece of art. All materials are provided and you can take your creation home.
(Wednesday, 3/4 @ 11:10 am - 12:00 pm noon)
