JASNC was honored to attend the kickoff reception of the North Carolina–Japan Legislative Friendship Caucus at the Governor’s Mansion on May 21, 2026—an important milestone in strengthening one of our state’s most vital international relationships. Japan is the largest foreign direct investor in North Carolina, supporting tens of thousands of jobs and contributing significantly to our state’s economic growth and innovation. In the months ahead, JASNC will work with caucus partners as site visits are coordinated for legislators across the state, providing firsthand insight into the impact of Japanese companies and cultural ties in their communities.
