Discover a rare opportunity to own a piece of Japanese artistry and history at JASNC’s Fashion Show & Luncheon Fundraiser. We are honored to auction a special collection of vintage haori generously donated by Linda Marcuson—cultural anthropologist, ceramic artist, and longtime student of Asian art and heritage.
While living in Japan in the early 1980s, Linda personally collected these exquisite garments, many crafted from luxurious silk and showcasing timeless patterns, refined craftsmanship, and rich cultural symbolism. Her decades of travel and immersion across Japan, China, Korea, and Taiwan—visiting ancient kilns, temples, shrines, and museums—deepened her appreciation for enduring artistic traditions, an influence that continues to shape her own celebrated ceramic work today.
These haori are more than beautiful garments—they are wearable works of art that can elevate a modern outfit while carrying the soul of Japan’s textile heritage. Bid on a piece that blends elegance, history, and cross-cultural connection, and take home something truly extraordinary.
Anyone can bid and win. If you are not present to pick up your haori, we will ship it. Flat shipping/handling fee of $10 will be charged.
