Welcome to JASNC
The Japan-America Society of North Carolina ( ノースカロライナ日米協会 JASNC) is a nonprofit organization for individuals and corporations with an interest in Japan and US-Japan relations. We differentiate ourselves as a membership organization that represents individuals, businesses, and other groups to promote a greater understanding and networking between Americans and Japanese through cultural events, public affairs, and educational programs across North Carolina. In fostering mutual understanding between the two nations, JASNC serves as a resource for exchanging knowledge and ideas.
JASNC offers sponsorship opportunities and a variety of rewarding membership options for individuals, families and businesses. Please browse this website to learn more about the benefits of becoming a JASNC member or sponsor.

Japanese Language School of Raleigh (JLSR) has served as one of the most prominent Japanese community hubs in the Capital of NC and beyond since 1982. Currently, nearly 200 students belong to JLSR regardless of their nationality or plan to move back to Japan.
All in-person classes have been suspended since March 2020 due to the current Covid-19 pandemic. JLSR doesn't have the resources to improve online learning with available technologies to overcome the current difficulties. Additionally, the spread of the virus resulted in many local Japanese companies relocating their US-based employees' back to Japan, resulting in unexpected tuition loss. We need to ensure that the students have decent education immediately by providing funds for the necessary change.
To support online education for the students, JLSR has started fundraising. Please give what you can to continue to study and keep their connections with each other alive!
