JASNC’s Individual members are the spirit of our organization.  Our Individual, Family and Patron members provide the enthusiasm, vision and person-to-person interaction that is so essential to our mission.  They make things interesting, rewarding and fun for everyone.

 

​JASNC offers value-packed memberships to families and individuals in North Carolina who are interested in sharing business, educational, cultural, artistic, social and personal goodwill, friendship, experiences and interaction between Japanese and North Carolinians.  Our programs and events provide support, information, resources and opportunities that help our individual members build deeper lasting professional and personal relationships that improve their enjoyment and quality of life in North Carolina.

 

Below are the levels and respective benefits of JASNC Individual Membership.

Primary Benefits for ALL Individual Members include:

  • Invitations to experience Japanese art, music, food, culture & friendship.

  • Discounted member rates on JASNC programs, events & activities.

  • Business & social networking, educational study-abroad & scholarship opportunities.

  • Job postings & member classified ads on the JASNC website & quarterly reports.

  • Information & resources on Japanese social, cultural & business activities in NC.

  • Opportunity to volunteer & participate on JASNC committees, programs & events.

  • Possible academic credit, work experience, reference letters & awards for volunteers.

  • Relocation & settling-in assistance, plus many other benefits, perks & information to help improve the quality of life for our members & their families.

  • Voting rights at Annual Meeting.

 

Patron Membership  – all Basic Benefits PLUS:                                             $100/year

  • Preferred reserved seating at JASNC events.

  • Special periodic offers & private invitations for Patrons only.

  • Advance prior notice of upcoming JASNC events with limited seating.

  • If eligible (see below), free memberships in Kodomokai, Young Professionals Group & Ladies Club.

Family Membership – all Basic Benefits PLUS:                                               $50/year

  • Access to family-friendly events, discounts & resources in NC.

  • If eligible, free membership in Kodomokai children’s club.

 

Individual Membership – all Basic Benefits                                                   $30/year

​

Student Membership- Basic Benefits only (non-voting)                                    $10/year

 

Founding Members                                                                                Optional $88 one time charge

 

Becoming a Founding Member is an optional extra add-on to the Individual Memberships outlined above.  It is being offered for a limited time only to the first 100 applicants.  In addition to their Individual Memberships, Founding Members will also receive:

  • Designation as “Founding Member” for the life of your JASNC membership next to your name in the annual Member Directory, any public mention of your name in future JASNC communications, event name tags & reserved seat cards at JASNC events

  • Name on virtual engraved brick on “Founders’ Wall” of the JASNC website.

  • Special periodic offers & private invitations for Founding Members only.
