Join the Japan-America Society of North Carolina (JASNC) for AI Frontiers: U.S.–Japan Collaboration in Innovation & Industry, a focused, in-person program exploring how the United States and Japan are working together to advance artificial intelligence and translate it into real operational impact.
Funded by the National Association of Japan-America Societies (NAJAS) and the Embassy of Japan, this annual business conference brings together leaders from policy, research, and industry to examine practical AI adoption, governance, and U.S.–Japan collaboration. The program will highlight how Japanese companies operating in the United States are using AI effectively, with takeaways that resonate in North Carolina’s manufacturing and innovation ecosystem.
The program will open with remarks from Chet Chetwynd, JASNC Board Chair, and Consul General Matsuda. It will feature presentations followed by a moderated panel discussion. Expert speakers include Mr. James Schoff (Sasakawa Peace Foundation USA), Dr. Takeshi Takahashi (NICT), Dr. Vanina Delobelle (Method, a GlobalLogic company), and Dr. Mauricio Soto (Hitachi Energy).
Beverages (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic) will be available throughout the event, followed by a networking reception with hors d’oeuvres after the panel discussion and Q&A.
All are welcome. Convenient parking available.

日本・アメリカ協会ノースカロライナ支部（JASNC）は、人工知能（AI）分野における日米の協力関係と、ノースカロライナ州での産業界の取り組みに焦点を当てた場を開催します。
本プログラムは、全米日米協会連合（NAJAS）および在ワシントン日本国大使館の支援のもと実施され、AI分野で活躍する産業界や研究機関の関係者が集い、日米連携の現状や今後の可能性について共有します。講演では、最新の技術動向や実際の活用事例に加え、ノースカロライナ州の主要産業におけるAIの活用についても紹介します。
また、専門家による講演のほか、パネルディスカッションと質疑応答を通して、AIの実務への取り入れ方や運用の考え方、今後の日米AI協力の方向性について理解を深めていきます。参加者同士が交流し、ビジネスや政策、社会の中でAIが果たす役割について意見を交わす時間も設けています。
当日は、ソフトドリンクおよびアルコール飲料をご用意しており、パネルディスカッションと質疑応答終了後には、軽食付きの懇親レセプションを行います。
