The Japan-America Society of North Carolina (JASNC) facilitates an online Japanese - English language partner program between any adult studying Japanese and native Japanese speakers wanting to improve their English.

After reviewing questionnaires, JASNC will pair and introduce a language partner to you in a joint Zoom call hosted by JASNC. In that first meeting you will jointly determine an ongoing meeting schedule with your new language partner and preferred format. Weekly topic assignments are often helpful to guide conversation.

After that initial introduction, the pair will meet in a one-on-one Zoom session, and will alternate speaking Japanese and English. Our hope is for the language partners to foster new friendships while improving their Japanese and English language skills.

Details:

• All levels of Japanese and English are welcome.

• Participants must be 18 years or older.

• Access to a device with internet, microphone, and camera capability (such as a laptop, smartphone, or tablet) is required.

• No cost to participate.

• Must be a current member of JASNC to enroll.
